Fancy Some Bugs?

Eww.....no, no, no!!  This post has nothing to do with bugs ok....I don't eat bugs...ever!!!  It's about Fancy Bugs Decorative Wall Art Stickers.  I think my first pic 'let the cat out of the bag' already!  I initially wanted to put a pic of a plate of insects but those I found grossed me out :D :D...so, no, I shall not have any gross looking stuff on my food blog!

I've always wanted to decorate my walls with wall stickers but was always afraid that it might damage my walls.  I first came to know about this brand of wall stickers through Groupon.  Seeing that they offered a discount, I thought...why not....and bought some to try.

And that was more than 2 years ago.  It turned out to be a 'long affair'.....don't ask me why.  I did the living room wall stickers first and then stopped.  A year later, I did the rooms and stopped again.  With Chinese New Year around the corner, I finally took out my last Fancy Bugs wall sticker to spruce my kitchen walls!

This "Kitchen Mama" came in 4 sheets of 48 cm x 32 cm pre-cut peel-and-stick vinyl wall stickers.

Although Fancy Bugs has a pre-designed demo card sticker on the package, you can plan your own design and arrange the individual stickers in whatever way you want.  So, this is where you can showcase your individual creativity...and that's what I liked about their stickers.

This is how it looked like on my kitchen wall (from both angles).  The stickers are enough to cover the length of a 10ft wall.

The first 4 pics give a closer view of the individually arranged stickers...and voila....you have just created a one-of-a-kind design that's unique to you only.....how cool is that!

What I liked about these wall art stickers is that they can be easily removed and repositioned if you dislike your arrangement (coz I've done that and they're still sticking well till now...but try not to if you can or don't do it so often ya).  Here are the pics of the rooms I did a year ago...

"Butterfly Garden" for the Master Bedroom
(if there's one thing I like, it's butterflies and flowers)

"Pokka Dots" for Bedroom 3

These stickers are made in Taiwan and they're slightly pricier than the norm but well worth the price because of the quality.  Their designs retail between RM29.90 to RM69.90 (but the nicer ones are those priced from RM49.90).  And here are the pics of the living room I did 2 years ago....

"Blossoming Roses" for the Sitting room

The roses are enough to cover the length of a 10ft wall :)

"Sweet Daisy" for a corner of the sitting room (near the entrance)

A closer view of the flowers...it looks like you'd always have flowers on your table ;)

I've seen quite a few different brands of wall stickers in the market but none I liked until I came across Fancy Bugs.  Their designs are a lot more attractive and their stickers are of really good quality.  You can check out their website for all the designs but, when I did (at the point of writing this post), the site was under maintenance so I'm not sure if this brand is still around...it's a pity if it's not :(

So, say goodbye to bland and boring walls....with Fancy Bugs!!  I'm glad this long project of mine has finally come to an end :-)

  4. Er... won't they get dirty over time? How come yours still look like brand new even after sticking on the wall for 1 or 2 years?

    1. Why would it be, at most, maybe it'll be a little dusty but not dirty. Even my painted walls look clean and new after 10 years!

    1. It is nice but don't overdo it (I suppose), otherwise it might look a bit like children clinics that have a lot of wall stickers to brighten up the place for the kids...kekeke!!
