Those restaurants that serve siew yoke as a dim sum item are usually those who have stir-fry dishes (and all types of roasted meat) to offer as well (for lunch and dinner). For a typical dim sum place that only serves dim sum and nothing else, it's more rare to find. I only know of one other branch other than the one in SS2....Puchong.

I actually don't know what to call sang kan yuen in English until I found this blog post:
http://happyhomemaker88.com/2008/02/16/homemade-traditional-chun-kuen-or-spring-rolls-for-chinese-new-year/
and it looked absolutely similar to what I ate. I've also seen this used by westerners use them in their cooking as well (like casing for sausages). If you google, it's known as caul fat, some kind of stomach lining.contact.ewewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01142689964601201058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7834220008218845143.post-77135706493432186602015-09-30T10:37:22.724+08:002015-09-30T10:37:22.724+08:00All everyone's faves, I'm sure....but ther...All everyone's faves, I'm sure....but there are still lots more not shown here! :Dcontact.ewewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01142689964601201058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7834220008218845143.post-39967066243324450132015-09-30T10:35:50.877+08:002015-09-30T10:35:50.877+08:00Hope your brother likes the siew yoke here. I did eat once at this PJ branch before they moved to this new location. I gather that the crispy yam puffs are not oily at all since they are your top pick. I am very scared to eat deep fried food when they are served piping hot because I fear getting a sore throat afterwards.

How much is that portion of siew yoke? Most big restaurants that serve dim sum has siew yoke on their menu too. I didn't know that yuan garden serves siew yoke too the last time I was here in 2013.
